What can be harder than working in a mine — the risks of heavy machinery, natural disasters, remote locations, not to mention dust and dirt, extremes of temperatures, difficulty in vision, etc. These types of businesses cannot afford to have any compromise on network reliability or functionality; the network must be operational at all times, especially when the safety of operations is involved.

How can we use design to improve communications and support user safety while ensuring that the fundamentals of communication are not forgotten —clear audio and reliability in these conditions?
