Using innovative data applications based around a mining operation to demonstrate increased safety and control room understanding of working conditions and employee physical condition. The presentation will cover actions such as job allocation, maintenance tasks, switching automatically between talkgroups based on location, weather alerts and biometric reporting. The intention is to show how often automated tasks can improve efficiency and worker safety, and then how that automation can be achieved over an existing TETRA narrowband network, which can be the gateway to a resource of processing and other device connectivity applications, whilst still maintaining mission critical PTT compliance.
