Transport for London Selected Tait Communications to deliver their Futureproof Digital Communications platform for Surface Transport Communications.
The core project, a DMR Tier 3 system with Unified Vehicle devices in the vehicles has been delivered in budget, on time seeing the migration of 9,300 vehicles, 80 base stations and 10 sites within 12 months complete with a managed service contract for 10 years.
To Deliver and Deliver for the future — Tait has utilised it’s world leading suite of Enablement tools, including Enable Fleet to streamline vehicle installs to less than 20 minutes per vehicle, the TN9500 internetwork Gateway to provide seamless network migration with ZERO downtime and Enable Insight to provide KPI monitoring and proactive management of the network throughout the networks life. All backed up by Tait’s Global Service Delivery network, both in house and through our local partnerships.
Looking to the future, we are now delivering the first TaitTeamPTT Press to Talk over Cellular to both TfL Operations teams and Bus Franchise providers — providing unprecedented levels of connectivity between both the vehicle fleet, TfL and their Franchisees.
